Beauty Spotlight: Get #Binked

Hey dolls! So I have another beauty spot light for you today but this one is a little different. I started Beauty spot lights to shine light on some of my favorite beauty guru in the industry. I've decied to change that up a bit and shine some light on not only the well known people and brands but also up and coming people! So today I bring you an interviews I did with makeup artist/Nail tech from the BGSU campus which if you don't know is the  university  I originally attended. 

A little about "Bink" 

Bianca is a senior at BGSU and she is majoring in Psychology with an art minor. She currently a self taught nail tech and make up artist.

"So tell me what exactly does 'Binked and Binkism' mean?" 

"Bink began with me being weird. My freshman year, all my friends would go out and I would sit in my dorm room and play in make up. The summer after this year I started doing my nails again. My cousin originally taught me at the age of 12 because my mom said the only way I could get my nails done was if I did it myself so I did. Following this summer my roommate at the time told me I should do this on campus once we get back. I didn't think it would actually work but it did! That fall semester business was booming" 

"How was business your junior year?" 

 "Jr year I was focusing on my academic taking 17-18 credit hours so I couldn't do nails as much but I did so much my sophomore year people still wanted me  'Well can you fit me in ill come at 11pm'  also during my jr I stated getting payed for my makeup services sophomore year I volunteered so once I got a good reputation I was able to get contracts and actual  business and pay for my services. 

"What do you think it is that set you apart from other nail techs and make up artist on campus"

" Well being Bink is about getting your services to the best of my ability. Apart of that process is me, what sets me about is I genuinely  care! Its not about money to me I enjoy doing this I enjoy the relationship I build with my clients."  

"What is your ultimate goal with make up and nails?"

"My goal is to intersect cosmetology and art therapy, I can't tell you how  I'm going to do it because I haven't enter my masters program for art therapy to be trained on that area but I just know I'm going to do it! I see the relationship between the two and I believe I can connect the two. They are very diverse different fields but I just want to connect the two. I can't say I will have an art therapy studio, or nail studio, or make up studio but whatever I have I will be using all three together. 

"I can defiantly see the relationship between the two people love opening up to me as a stylist " 

"Exactly I can tell a child, a mother...I could tell myself you're going to see a therapist and the defense mechanism  being 'I'm not going to talk about my problems, I don't know you, I'm not crazy' but being an nail tech makeup artist this girls walk through the door and poor everything out to me. So I want be trained to handle what is being told to me and I want people to be comfortable with me. "

"So tell me about the event you have coming up? "

"This event is geared towards focusing on maintenance of healthy beauty. Not only will I have Bink, Binkism but also my friends business Hair crave that makes wigs. We will have everything from tutorials, educations sessions, healthy eating, makeup removal, nail remove everything! We will also have vendors that will be selling products including myself, haircrave, healthy snacks, maybe make up everything!"

"Will there be anymore events in the future?" 

 

"We would love to travel. There is a need for college women with fast paste life style who need help maintaining a healthy lifestyle and I just want to help eliminate that trial and error stage or help women in that stage get past that"

"So what is your next step?" 

"We'll I about to graduate BGSU class of 2014!! Then in June I want to start cosmetology school. Then go on yo get my masters and PHD!

Update!

Hey lovleys! So I know I haven't posted in over a month (sooooooo sorry) but I have good reason for it I promise! I have a bunch of exciting projects that I am working on and over the next few months I will be releasing these projects to the world! I am super excited about the things I have been working on, Because of this my blogging has been slacking but that stops here! I will be back to multiple post weekly and all of my awesome series I've started plus more!! I will be bringing you more amazing deals and sales from my favorite places plus interviews from people you should be on the look out for! I have big plans for my blog plus all of the things I am working on behind the scenes! Thank you to everyone who have kept up with blissfully unique this far! Cosmetology update!

Hey Lovelies! I have another Cos school update for you guys. As of Tuesday 6/25 i am officially half way through the program!! I dont think anyone understands my excitement lol I finally have a good amount of steady clients but i am still working to build on that, there is no better feeling then coming in for the day knowing that you have a full book! I am to the point where mannequin work just isn't enough anymore. The best part of my day is having a happy client leave out of my chair. So, at my school we have this "star" program where if you achieve an amount of services, retail and you are at school 85% of the time from the start of your program till you hit 50% you can be labeled as a "designer student". I was soooooo close to being a designer i have over the amount of services and retail but my attendance was just below the mar at 83%! I was so disappointed that i didn't achieve that goal but i still have a chance to become a designer by the time i am finished with the program. It will be an amazing achieve to be able to put something like on my resume and the special diploma that comes with the title. I will have another update in a few weeks, I am taking a week leave to enjoy my summer a little and pick up some more hours at work lol. Lets play the rate game! Whipped Creme

Hey dolls! So u am back with another product review aka a rate game! The product I will be rating today is a professional product from one of the product lines I use daily at school and at home! The full product like is sebastian professional hair care line. Out of the three professional lines we use at school this is by far my favorite!! Now the product I will be rating today is my favorite product out of the whole line!! The product is called whipped creme! (And yes it does look like whipped creme but it does NOT taste like it hahaha) whipped creme is a light condition style product that is great for naturally curly hair. This product is the only thing I can put into my hair and the curls stay nice, soft, and bouncy for a couple of days. The product not only helps keep curls in tack but it adds shine and moisture to the hair as well. But whipped creme isn't only used for curls I sometime apply done creme to clients hair when they shit under the dryer for a shampoo wrap just because it adds the moisture and it won't  make the hair crunchy. Whipped creme is such a workable product I love using it when styling hair, rather its curls or just to flat iron I love using whipped creme. If you are looking for something to use on curly hair I 100% recommend going to a salon near you that sells sebastion products and pick yourself up some. It's worth it i swear! A few words from Breezy! :)

Hey dolls! I know I haven't post Anything in a while I've just been so busy with work and school! This happens to be my long weekend at school, so I should have some lovely story's to tell about my weekend at the salon! I will have a good amount of post for next week just to make up for the lack of post lately! Also I have a big announcement for you guys too! I can't wait to tell you guys!
